Jennifer Abelson Jennifer Abelson
Chief Executive Officer

Jennifer Abelson is a renowned Corporate and Executive Communications Strategist with deep expertise building strong brands, shareholder value and integrated communications programs that drive visibility and results for companies dedicated to the telecommunications and technology sectors.

As Chief Executive Officer of Abelson Group, Abelson is responsible for defining vision and value, cultivating strategic relationships with stakeholders and influencers and developing market strategies that fuel growth and significant visibility for clients. Over the years, Abelson has provided advisory services for many companies, including Accenture, PriceWaterhouse Coopers Consulting, Sirius Satellite Radio, Nabisco, USinternetworking, Eureka Broadband and others.

Prior to founding Abelson, Abelson was appointed Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications for ORCOM, where she transformed the firm from a legacy Customer Information System (CIS) software company to an acclaimed, market leader in customer care and billing services. She led this remarkable growth by successfully re-branding the 27-year old company, defining its service business model and building a solid marketing and communications foundation to address competitive threats and increase market momentum. The company was ultimately acquired by Alliance Data Systems (NYSE: ADS).

Previously, Abelson served in a variety of agency and corporate PR and marketing roles, most notably as Vice President of Public Relations for FitzGerald Communications, a global technology communications firm. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from William Paterson University and a corporate master's degree in Telecommunications from Pace University.


Erin Talbot

Erin Talbot
Senior Vice President

Erin Talbot possesses more than 15 years of high-technology industry public relations experience with firms ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. Having held key roles in corporate communications departments and public relations agencies, she has developed keen insights and perspectives as a communications strategist. During her career, Talbot has implemented multi-faceted campaigns for clients in the consumer, enterprise, corporate, public affairs, and sports marketing sectors, each with a focus on delivering a strong voice and clear vision to stakeholders.

Prior to joining Abelson Group, Talbot was a senior vice president with the corporate and technology practice at Edelman, where she managed communications programs for some the agency’s largest technology brands, including Avaya, Canon, and iRobot. She provided corporate strategy and guidance on a multitude of issues, from crisis communications and corporate positioning, to the acquisition of a client by a private equity firm. She was also a key player in spearheading the agency’s “Clean & Green” technology practice, which counsels small companies around the globe in areas such as power management, solar technology, and LED lighting.

Previously, Talbot spent several years as the senior director of worldwide corporate communications at Symbol Technologies, now a division of Motorola. While at Symbol, she helped the company navigate its way through an SEC settlement and several thorny litigation issues; built a platform, brand, and reputation for the CEO; hired and created a focused communications team; implemented communications results measurement tools; conducted a worldwide agency search; and led the company through two acquisitions and a corporate restructuring. In addition, Talbot built a public affairs operation, a customer reference program, an executive communications organization, a community relations practice, a vertical market group, and an analyst relations team, all which did not previously exist at the company.

Talbot has held positions at some of the world’s most prestigious and well-known technology agencies, including Porter Novelli, Text 100, and Weber Shandwick Worldwide. During her career, she has lived in five different cities, Boston, Houston, San Francisco, Atlanta, and New York; opened new agency offices in Houston and Atlanta; and specialized in leading teams that serviced and built IT, consumer, and emerging market programs for such blue-chip clients as HP, Compaq, and Kodak.

Talbot began her career working for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) as a publicist and media relations manager at several professional tour events. A former journalist and freelance magazine writer, she got her start in the technology sector in the early 1990’s at Cabletron Systems.

A New England native, Talbot graduated with an English journalism degree from the University of New Hampshire. She is also a Six Sigma Black Belt, and she has completed a project focused on improving successful customer references using these tools and methodologies.


Keith Pillow Keith R. Pillow
Vice President

An accomplished senior marketing professional, Keith R. Pillow possesses 15 years of corporate and agency experience developing and implementing strategic, results-driven marketing communications programs in the enterprise and consumer technology arenas.

As vice president of Abelson Group, Pillow is responsible for a broad range of agency operations and client-driven initiatives, including the management of critical client relationships and day-to-day account management activities, the supervision of multiple teams of practitioners, new business development in key growth segments, and recruiting and mentoring of agency personnel.

Previously, Pillow was the PR manager for the Services division of Thomson, SA, where he oversaw all global internal and external communications programs for the $3.5 billion Technicolor business. Prior to joining Thomson, SA, he was founder, president, and chief executive officer of KRP Communications, Ltd., a full-service marketing consulting firm specializing in the development and execution of marketing strategies for growth-stage and mature technology concerns. Before establishing KRP Communications, Pillow served as the PR manager for the Western Hemisphere for Paris, France-based Dassault Systèmes, a $1 billion global enterprise software company which develops product lifecycle management (PLM) applications for the aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial equipment sectors.

His additional professional experience includes senior technology account management positions at two of the largest PR firms in the world, Fleishman-Hillard and Shandwick International, where he designed and executed PR programs for a host of blue-chip technology players, including BMC Software, CSC, Compaq, HP, IBM, Nortel Networks, Seagate, Sony PlayStation, Stamps.com, and Yahoo! He has also worked in-house as a PR specialist at Quarterdeck Corporation, an international developer of utilities software products acquired by Symantec Corporation, and as a senior account executive at Smith PR, a Los Angeles consumer marketing and brand enhancement consulting firm.

Pillow began his career as a sports marketing manager at Brener Zwikel & Associates, Inc., where he worked with some of the most prestigious organizations in sports, including the NFL, IMG, Major League Soccer, PGA TOUR, LPGA, World Cup USA, and SHOWTIME Networks, Inc.

Pillow holds B.S. degrees in marketing and international business from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, and a MBA in marketing from the George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the Phi Beta Kappa equivalent for business graduates and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).


John Angelo John Angelo
Director

John Angelo leads Abelson Group's DigitalEdge practice, cultivating market drivers and innovators in the digital entertainment, consumer technology, and new media segments by developing significant visibility and momentum for their brands. He also leads our broadcast PR services, leveraging his extensive expertise in consumer radio and television.

Throughout his career, John has orchestrated hundreds of broadcast interviews for company spokespeople and well-known entertainment personalities including Matthew McConaughey, Ashton Kutcher, Kate Hudson, Tara Reid, Debra Messing, and Marlee Matlin. With 13 years of experience in the development and implementation of high-impact PR programs for consumer technology concerns, Angelo comes to Abelson Group from AOL, where he served as a senior communications manager responsible for orchestrating campaigns for numerous AOL Entertainment brands and services, including Moviefone, In2TV, AOL CityGuide, and AOL Games.

Prior to AOL, he held multiple account management positions at TSI Communications (later acquired by GolinHarris), one of the largest independent technology PR agencies in the world. At TSI, Angelo spearheaded global media and analyst relations initiatives for such notable consumer technology players as Virgin Entertainment, JVC Consumer Electronics, and video game maker Gathering of Developers. Angelo is a graduate of the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree in communications.


Ilona Andrea Mohacsi
Director

Ilona Andrea Mohacsi has more than 18 years of corporate experience in global media and industry analyst relations. She has been instrumental in developing strategic international campaigns for companies including On-Line Software, Computer Associates, Inc. and Motorola Enterprise Mobility Business, formerly Symbol Technologies, Inc.

At Abelson Group, Mohacsi directs compelling PR and IAR programs for its telecom and technology practices, and provides daily execution with key print, online and industry analyst influencers.

At Computer Associates, Inc., Mohacsi was involved in launching the company's flagship solution, Unicenter Systems and Network Management. She also developed a highly effective international PR outreach team leveraging the research work of Computer Associates’ round-the-clock network of Threat Management response centers to secure relevant, immediate and global coverage. At Motorola's Enterprise Mobility business, Mohacsi worked with key industry analyst influencers in the wireless, mobile and RFID community. With her support, Motorola Enterprise Mobility successfully introduced a new genre of handheld devices - the Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA).

Earlier, Mohacsi held an editorial position at GE Astro supporting the Satellite Division's scientific publications.

Mohacsi is a graduate of St. John's University with a B.S. degree in communications. She studied British Communication Arts at the Royal Holloway College in Surrey, England.
